I Am Northern Ireland

The Ancestral Home Of The Scots Irish

I AM Northern Ireland

It has taken a while to put the site together. I would like to thank Lynette Conlon and Tourism Northern Ireland for letting me access material from their library.

The song I Am Northern Ireland is one of the songs on the site recorded in Nashville. Many thanks to Tom Manche and the great musicians he works with.

I Am Northern Ireland

I am the river Lagan the city of Belfast

I am the Mourne Mountains the village of Ardglass

I am the beauty of Lough Neagh the town-ship of Strabane

If you wonder who I am I am Northern Ireland

I am the Antrim coast The Giants Causeway

I am Londonderry's walls the shores of Bangor Bay

I am the Lakes of Fermanagh The Sperrins of Tyrone

If you wonder who I am I am Northern Ireland

And if you come to see me I won't let you down

New places seen new friends found

I am the one who built the liners that sailed the seven seas

I am the one who lost her sons to many far off fields

I am a castle in Carrickfergus I am the  river Bann

If you wonder who I am I am Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland Northern Ireland

Wherever I will be

Wherever I lay my head

You will always be home to me

I AM Northern Ireland 2

I was asked by some of the Northern Ireland football fans to write a shorter version for them to sing. Hopefully, when we get back to more normal that will happen.

Groomsport

Where the first ship left Ireland for America on the 9th of September, 1693. It was called The Eagle Wing. It did not make it because of the storms and had to turn back.
